Promoting Sustainability: Relearn Foundation’s Waste Management Workshop at NIAMT Ranchi

On 29th and 30th May 2025, a team from the Relearn Foundation visited NIAMT University, Ranchi, to conduct a two-day training program focused on waste management and sustainable practices. The session aimed to raise awareness among students about the importance of recycling and reusing materials in innovative ways to reduce environmental impact.

During the training, the Relearn Foundation team demonstrated practical methods for recycling paper and guided the students in creating useful products such as paper bags. The session also included insightful discussions on the re-use of electronic waste, emphasizing how discarded electronics can be repurposed effectively rather than contributing to landfills.

In addition, the team showcased creative ways to reuse old clothes by making items like cushions and other household or decorative products. These hands-on activities encouraged students to think practically and creatively about sustainable living.

Overall, the training was a highly engaging and educational experience. The students of NIAMT actively participated and showed great enthusiasm for learning how waste can be transformed into valuable resources. The visit successfully instilled a sense of environmental responsibility and highlighted the role of youth in driving eco-friendly change.
