5th April 2024: International Women’s Day Celebration

The International Women’s Day Celebration held on 5th April 2024 at the Exhibition Hall of Vijaya Gardens Club in Baridih, Jamshedpur, was a vibrant and impactful event organized by the Relearn Foundation. The event featured a range of activities aimed at promoting women empowerment and environmental sustainability. It commenced with an inspiring opening by Namrata Raj and a heartfelt welcome address by Dr. Mita Tarafder, followed by the honoring of guests and judges through the traditional lighting of diyas and presentation of gifts. Highlights included an opening dance by Chandni, speeches by Anjali Mam and Nirmala Shukla, and a yoga demonstration by Dr Priti Kiran. The fashion show and extempore competition captivated the audience, with participants discussing waste management and environmental conservation. Dr. Charu Wadhwa delivered an insightful talk on women’s menstrual health and hygiene. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony recognizing outstanding performances, a vote of thanks by Dr Sanghita Mridha, and the distribution of refreshments. An exhibition showcasing Sahaaz Fabrics, stitching work, and Sahaaj products provided attendees with a glimpse into sustainable practices. The event successfully fostered a sense of community and commitment towards creating a more equitable and sustainable future.
