On a recent visit to Ranchi, Namrata Raj and Mrs. Madhumita Banerjee of the Relearn Foundation observed the commendable efforts of Mission Pahal, an organisation dedicated to educating underprivileged children. Led by Rahul Kumar, Mission Pahal has successfully enrolled 73 children, from Prep to 8th grade, who come from families of daily wage earners, rag pickers, house helpers, and laborers. Prior to the organisation’s intervention, these children were often involved in drug use and criminal activities, with little parental oversight. Over the past four years, Mission Pahal has transformed the community by providing education and steering children away from negative influences. However, the organisation now needs additional support in the form of clothing, nutritious food, stationery, and educational aids to sustain and expand their impact. The Relearn Foundation sees a valuable opportunity for collaboration to help Mission Pahal continue their important work.
